A hearty welcome to Unilet - please take a few moments to meet the team... Vernon
As his eyesight deteriorates, his hearing compensates! This incredible human metamorphosis only matures with age – No don’t let the beard deceive you… A wizened Hi-Fi Fanatic forever it seems, Vern can relate tales of yore alongside current product. A commited musicologist who is happy to talk about Mozart or Metallica to Dylan or Miles Davis on Vinyl or any Digital sources you want to discuss. He is also currently enjoying a fourth year on the board of the industries trade body – The British Audio-Visual Dealers Association (BADA). Generally of a cuddly nature and physicality (mainly due to numerous sticky buns) he is definitely Unilet’s Pooh Bear. Joe
If Vern is Pooh, then Joe is Tigger. His seemingly boundless energy and enthusiasm for Unilet and food is now becoming legendary. Joe came to us three years ago from within the industry and many of our customers have already been well and truly Joe'd. His areas of specialty are everything and anything to do with Hi-Fi and Home Cinema, motorcycles and eating! If Joe does you a good turn, give him a packet of "Plain" chocolate Hob-Nobs. That'll keep him happy...for a while... Did I say plain?...Yes...Plain! David
Hooting all the way from Tooting is "Owly". No, his head does not rotate 180 degrees, nor is he covered in feathers (except for the odd Saturday night). He has a cool mind and a very studied approach with everything he does. David joined us over two years ago after extensive studies in Film, Media and Graphical Communication. A keen and committed film buff, David is the man to talk to about Aspect Ratio's, Colour Timing, Frame Rates, Digital Theatre Sound, System Calibration, Film Scores, The Best DVD's on the market and absolutely anything related to your Home Cinema aspirations. David also manages the Unilet Sound & Vision website. Matt
"Rabbit" joined us two years ago from University. His very chilled and floppy nature probably has more to do with the First Class Honours Degree in Socializing than his diet. A keen golfer and an award winner for Chinese Boxing, we've only scratched the surface of Matt's interests outside of Unilet. Matt always brings a quiet intelligence to proceedings which is proving enormously popular with our customers. Keith
Our newest member, Keith, is Robo-Rabbit (Version 2.0), who has taken claim over our service department as his warren. Keith likes to keep his components clean (Hi-Fi that is) and invited us all to share in his enthusiasm for feather dusters. Never happy unless he's doing something, he's so efficient we're all beginning to wonder if it's something other than Energizer that's keeping him going..and going. Having joined us from within the trade, his many years of experience in the audio visual industry mean you'll only get pearls of wisdom from Keith, (not pellets!). Phillip
Phillip joined Unilet in 2000 on a work experience basis, graduated to 'Saturday lad' and has been here ever since. He very quickly earned the name of ''Gopher'' and can be relied upon to do absolutely anything at any time regardless of how dirty his paws get. In posession of a very keen ear, his philosophy when demonstrating is always that the system must be fun... He wants you to enjoy music as much as he does. Currently studying to be a Studio Recording and Mastering Engineer, don't be too surprised if you see Gopher's monicker on some great sounding software in the not too distant future. Amit
"Eeyore" came about because of the dark circles under his workaholic eyes and the fact that a donkey never forgets anything. Chances are, if Amit's sold you something in the last ten years, he'll almost certainly remember you! A legend in his own lunchtime, Amit has been in the industry forever - Ever since he was a foal! Speaker Cables, Interconnects, Plugs, Accessories and the smell of Silver Solder? Talk to Eeyore, you'll know what we mean. |
