For anyone who's ever visited Unilet in the past, they'll most likely have been blown away by the image quality offered by Pioneer's HD Ready Plasma Panels, notably the PDP-507XD.
However, available in limited numbers, the Pioneer PDP-5000EX invites you to experience FULL HD and lay to rest any doubts that this is not the best plasma in the world...ever!
Double the pixel density and resolution in a plasma display. The highest resolution you can get in a 50-inch flat screen - in fact, it's a world-first.
The PDP-5000EX has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (compared to 1280 x 768) and is capable of displaying the entire range of High Definition sources, including 720p, 1080i and 1080p – this is the first plasma display capable of 1080p, making it fully future-proof for the FULL HD resolution of both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
What this means is that you get the ultimate in High Definition image detail, colour accuracy and fast moving image clarity – made possible by the displays higher pixel count and faster refresh rate (of 720p).
The PDP-5000EX accepts both standard and high definition sources and will automatically “smart” convert these to give you the highest resolution picture possible. So if you've taken the plunge and adopted SKY HD, you can be assured of a far more rewarding viewing experience without the scaling artefacts inherent with lower resolution HD Ready displays.
