Vienna’s new highly fashionable eatery and lounge bar, the Lobsterdock have taken delivery of low profile versions of the IB1 (IB1S-C) and slim-line on-wall wafer2™’s to serve the ultimate in high quality audio to all their discerning clientele. The Lobsterdock’s designers made it paramount that all areas of the dining experience should be on an equal par, from wine to the ambience, ensuring all the senses are stimulated to the same level, leaving diners fulfilled but hungry for more.

The IB1’s serve as higher level playback mounted in custom cradles above the bar powered by a Bryston 4B SST (2 x 300W) power amplifier and the unobtrusive yet stylish wafer2™’s supply the main dining areas. The effect of low distortion and wide dispersion is ideal for both critical studio and entertainment environments. They provide an even energy spread over the entire area devoid of irritating hotspots of both high and low frequency, this includes higher levels. Intelligibility of conversation can be maintained throughout the evening from the soothing sounds of early evening dining to late night high level revelling.

IB1S

The IB1S is an extremely flexible 3-way monitor, which has found its home in the most varied of environments. Commonly seen in Mastering, Broadcast and Postproduction in either stereo or surround when partnered with its dedicated centre channel and SB100 sub bass system. Its huge popularity in Hollywood film scoring and postproduction is assisted by the option of ‘Film filters’. This gives 2 positions of HF roll off: 1.5dB and 3dB per Oct and Flat position. The IB1S features wide dispersion soft domed fabric mid and high frequency units and the PMC 10" carbon fibre and Nomex™ flat piston low frequency driver. This flat patented driver increases dynamic handling and eliminates distortion that may occur due to cone break up.

wafer™

The wafer 2™ follows the identical design cues and contains the same intelligent innovations of the wafer 1™. The depth of the cabinet remains ultra slim line with small increases to the height and width. This allows for a larger and more robust bass unit giving the wafer 2™ greater low frequency extension and the ability to achieve higher volume levels. The attributes of wafer 2™ lend themselves perfectly to both surround sound and stereo configurations in a vast range of listening environments
