Arcam take the lead with new AVR 600 There is no doubt it has been a challenging year for Arcam on the AV front. Like it's competitors Arcam has faced major competition from Onkyo with products that outperformed and undercut everybody in the market but this fiercely contested sector is now fighting back with new releases from Denon, Yamaha and Arcam with this flagship AV receiver. It is undoubtably a huge step forward on previous offerings and looks to offer a longevity unheard of in a sector renowned for products with the lifespan of a mayfly. Yours truly visited a recent product launch and was suitably impressed with the excellent picture quality (via blueray), it's audio control and finesse. It's pretty good with music too.
