The Naim HDX Hard Disk player arrives

Primarily the HDX is a stand alone audiophile music player that offers CD playback, bit perfect copies stored on an internal hard drive, sophisticated search and advanced features that will also allow the HDX to become the heart of a high quality distributed audio system for music around the home.

Stand-alone or connected source player
Can be used with or in place of your existing CD player
High quality reproduction fron CD and internal 400Gb Hard Drive
Incorporates a front panel touch screen that offers total control
Sound quality can be upgraded by adding the Naim XPS or PS 555 power supplies
Bit-perfect copies, reading twice - extracts the music with no errors to the hard drive.
It will take around 8 10 minutes to copy a CD to the hard drive
Can play studio master files that are becoming more widely available for download
Plays all major formats including WAV, Flac, MP3, AAC and WMA
Plays from any connected storage device whether USB or network attached.
Makes over 600 bit-perfect rips of CDs at full CD quality to the hard drive
Low-noise mounts keep two 400GB drives quiet and cool, one for music, one for backup
For safe storage the second drive backs up the data each night
As a network player - server
Can provide up to six different streams of music simultaneously over a home network
You dont have to be in the same room to browse your music library
