Full Membership of BADA is open to retail establishments who support the aims and ideals of BADA and who possess commercially rateable premises (but not necessarily a shop window) and demonstration facilities in a room or rooms separate from the main sales area. No establishment may apply for membership unless it has been operational, under its trading name, for a minimum of three years and is able to provide a high standard of service and repair. Members must have service facilities available either in-house or outsourced. Where in-house service facilities are provided, the service personnel must be qualified to a suitable standard to provide a level of service expected by the association.
Probationary Membership will be open to applicants who do not meet all the above criteria but who, in the opinion of the directors, support the aims and ideals of BADA. Probationary Membership shall be for a minimum period of one year to a maximum of three years with no access to a full micro-site, no right to display a BADA logo on external promotional material, but with access to the member benefits and training and will be identified by a separate listing on advertising and promotional material and a status indicator on the BADA website.
Associate Membership shall be open to manufacturers, distributors and members of the media and communications sectors. A fee is chargeable for this membership category and comes with full voting rights and access to member benefits.
Affiliate Membership shall open to members of the media, membership shall be subject to an annual administration fee as set by the board. The member will not be entitled to any voting rights or have access to the member benefits. Affiliate members will be able to upgrade to Associate Membership by payment of the relevant subscription applicable at the time.
